I just bought a new fishing rod and the company stated that it was made with a multilayer IM7 graphite blank. What exactly does this mean?
I have known this guy for a few months and he works where i work. I am attracted to him and i think he feels the same because of the eye contact we have. We have laughed and chatted quite a few times but the other day he came over to my desk and was chatting to me, asked me if i like fishing? i said no! He then started to make signals with hands like he was winding a fishing reel and said to me … i’m going to reel you in, smiled at me and walked away! Please can someone tell me what he meant by that. I know that he talks about me to friends of mine saying nice things about me and when we do see each other he makes a point of touching me on the arm or shoulder now and again when chatting with me but i would just like to be sure.
I was just wondering what bass fishing or catching a fish means to you. Thanks
What does it mean when a girl says?
what did it mean when this girl said to me “my friends want to reel you in” and then in an action like fishing rotates her hands as if i was a metaphor for a fish in the sea.I have a good idea already but don’t want to be too sure.
I would like to get into fishing, and I am trying to decide on what equipment to buy. but then, there are some things about the equipment that i don’t understand. and searching the internet has given me nothing yet.
Gear ratio.
The spool on a reel with a 5.6:1 (five point six TO one) GR will turn 5.6 times for each turn of the handle.
The ratio you mentioned would be for a good all around speed retrieve ratio.
It describes how many times the spool (or on a spinner, the bail) rotates for each time you turn the handle. This is a general indicator of how fast you can retrieve line. But how fast the line comes in depends on how large the spool is.
Small freshwater reels may have spools which are an inch or so in diameter — this means each rotation brings in 3 to 4 inches of line, so a 4:1 reel will bring in 12-16 inches of line per crank, while a 6:1 reel will bring in 18 to 24 inches.
But a larger saltwater reel might have a 2-inch diameter spool, which would bring in roughly twice as much line per rotation — 24-32 inches at 4:1, or 36-48 inches at 6:1. This can make it much harder to crank on a heavy fish, so larger reels are generally built with lower gear ratios. (The huge big game reels are rarely built with a ratio higher than 3:1.)
Anyway, when comparing reels, remember you don’t need as high a gear ratio to get a fast retrieve on a larger reel.
im new to fishing and on a fishing reel it says line capacity:Yds-lbs. What does that mean???
does that mean the maximum pound of a fish a line could handle???
and it also says Line Capacity: M-mm
what does that mean???
Gear ratio has to do with what you are fishing for and types of lures you want to use.
Big heavy fighting fish you would like a tough lower speed reel to lug in big heavy fish.A high speed reel can handle bigger fish but is made more for fishing a type of lure mainly! When fishing certain crankbaits or buzz baits you would like to be able to bring the bait to the surface fast or crank the lure to the needed depth fast and it then allows you to keep the lure in the depth range the lure was made to run at.
i had 3 zebra danios and 5 neon tetras in my 11 gallon tank, ich broke out and killed 3 neon tetras, i moved the 2 neon tetras to a hospital tank so it would not spread to the danios, my sister killed one of the neon tetras accidentally and my danios were fine, but about a week later something very weird happened, my sister killed another fish, one of the danios and he was dead in the tank for more than 24 hours im guessing because i went to a friends house, now i only have 2 zebra danios but, yesterday i noticed that one of my danios back fin was almost completely missing!! and its right fin was noticeably smaller, so i moved him to a small bowl thing because i think he is going to die
then today i realized my other danio had it!!! what could it be?? both danios are still alive but the one i noticed first is floating upside down and breathing rapidly, the other one is swimming normally but half his tail is gone and i havent noticed and rapid breathing, any suggestions on what could’ve happenend and any medications that could help or any technics like turning up the heater and so on
BTW i have a heater, bubbler and double filtration and i do regular water changes and the tank is still cycling, actually it is only about 2-3 weeks into cycling
Today i am going to my pet shop to pick up:
a more powerful filter
ammonia/nitrite test kit
melafix
CYCLE ( the stuff that speeds up the cycling process )
should i get 2 more danios because i know that danios are schooling fish and require schools of 3+
Thankyou!
