I am for the first time, makeing my own stink bait to fish with, i dont know how mutch weight to put on my line. I plan to fish on the kankakee river, we landed 7 catfish on nightcrawlers, but i plan to use stink bait this time, i wan to catch a big one.

I need to know how much it would cost for an out of state saltwater fishing liscense would cost in North Carolina?

I currently go coarse fishing but have always wanted to try pike fishing in the winter months can anyone give me advise on how much it should cost me for rod’ reel and bits i was hoping 100 pound would give me a start up since that would be my limit on budget.

OK well I’m going fishing in the jetties of S.C. and want to caught some 20lb-35lb fish and was wondering if i needed a stronger rod and reel. Thanks

Alot of that depends upon the reel, its condition, and who is wanting it. I collect Zebco, Johnson, South Bend, Phillipson, and a few others. I recently paid $20 for a 1957 Zebco “All in One”. Its in mint condition. But I saw one go on ebay for $53. I gave $10 for a cira 1945 to 1954 Phillipson casting rod. I just sold a 1960 Johnson spincast reel in good condition for $8. That’s why I say it depends on who is wanting it as well. Some Pluegers and Penn’s are worth upwards of a $100 to $300 dollars.
One of the first thing a collectors will as you is do you have the original box and instruction sheet?? Original packaging makes it worth more to most of us collectors.

I just received a 30 to 60 lbs 6ft rod as a gift (SeaStalker). I need to know what reel, line weight, and how much line would be appropiate for this rod. I usually fish off party boats that I get invited to and this is my first rod. We usually fish at the channel islands (Sea bass, halibut, etc). I usually borrow a spinning reel, but is a casting reel better( I’ve never used one)
