Have got a LOT of different brand spinnin’ reels but, here lately, I’ve found that for the cost/quality of the Cabela’s Prodigy, it be one fine reel. Been usin’ it for near 5 years now (specifically Trout) and have yet ta’ touch any of our other rigs. There are a lot of good spinnin’ reels on the market ta’day ~ links that I givin’ below are some of the brand names that I have and go with. Good luck ;)… <

Daiwa Tournament SS:http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa…
Quatum PTi:http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa…
Note: These are within the $100.00 range with the exception of the Quantum. Ta’ reiterate, there be a whole lot on the market ~ just depends on what your wantin’ to pay. Don’t just go on my recomendations (sure ya’ won’t
), because there’ll be a LOT more feed-backs from other Answers ppl…

I live in HB and want to go river fishing for an entire day. I don’t want to drive for more than 2 hours in any direction, and would like some place without a lot of people. I love to hike, so any remote fishing spot that requires a healthy hike is totally game.
I’m gonna be fishing on a small river this weekend like small as in can cast from one side to the other. I’m gonna be fishing with a cork and bait for bream and perch. Which one of these reels would be better for these conditions?
I just moved to Great Falls, MT from Minnesota and I’m not used to the type of fishing out here. In Minnesota I mostly fished lakes and had a boat. I’m interested in how to fish the Missouri from shore and what sort of lures I should be using for different types of fish. I’m not even sure what kinds of fish are present here. Thanks.
