Hello,
I’m 21 and I own 36ft fishing boat (1-6 Fishers + 3 Crew) that I’m wanting to use for “small private fishing charters”. I live in Navarre, FL (Destin Area). Is there any special permits, licenses, .etc that I need to apply to do this? Only reason I’m really doing this is I regularly take out customers from my families company but there is hardly any money involved other then tips + gas.

I have a lot of fishing friends that are wanting to start a social type fishing club. What are the steps to getting the reel rolling?

Rod… the usual recommended tool is a 12ft or13ft “Float” or “Match” rod, such as the SHAKESPEARE MACH1 Match (£34 for the 12ft, £40 for the 13ft)http://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/RODS/s…
At some point it can also be joined with a Leger / Feeder / Quiver rod for weight fishing, such as the Shakespeare OMNI X 9ft 6″ legerhttp://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/RODS/s…
For a reel, the SHAKESPEARE MACH1 (2409/035 model) looks a pretty good buy @ £26.50 - has 1x Shallow match spool (for float fishing with), and 1x regular spool (for legering with)http://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/REELS/…
Though the MITCHELL Avocet II silver in 2000RD or 4000RD Match versions are supposed to be pretty good toohttp://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/REELS/…
Or the Mitchel Avocet II Gold 2000RD (next one up from the silver)http://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/REELS/…

i just will be fishing bass, walleye, anything you can find in a southeast michigan lake, it is a pretty big size lake, i usually fish in the 5-8 foot waters, but sometimes i take a boat out to the drop off. Anyways, where can i go to start making my own lures?

My dad has just take up fishing (he goes along with a friend) and I would like to get him some bits and pieces or fishing gear for his birthday - the only thing he currently has is a bait box. I am looking for something simple, not overly expensive, but something to give him a start. The fish for chub and dace apparently. All suggestions grately received.

I am really pumped to start fishing again, but I live in CT. and don’t ice fish. I have never started fishing before the middle of the summer and I was wondering when I would be able to start fishing and still catch lots of fish? Generally i fish for bass, trout, sunfish, sometimes catfish in small ponds if that helps.
