I just bought a new fishing rod and the company stated that it was made with a multilayer IM7 graphite blank. What exactly does this mean?

I dont have very much money but I still really want to learn how to fly fish. I am thinking about buying the Martin Fly Fishing Rod & Reel Combo - 8′ Rod for $38. Is this a good rod and reel combo for a beginner or is harder to use because its so cheap.
What other inexpensive combos would you recommend for a beginner fly fisherman?

I planning a day to go sea fishing, catch the fish and cook it on the beach. Any ideas where this might be possible? Something like a pier (feathering) but beachcasting is fine also.
I was also wandering if it was free?

I will be fishing at the sunshine skyway bridge in St. Petersburg Fl. It will be an incoming tide all day. I heard it’s good fishing an incoming tide is this true?

Heading up this upcoming weekend to some streams in Erie, pretty much right by the lake.
I’m somewhat new at all this and I was wondering if anybody has any tips when it comes to the type of bait that could work well this time of year.
- I’m not fly fishing.
Any type/color of little jigs work? I’ve mainly used salmon eggs or wax worms the few times I’ve gone.

Its a fishing pole that is used for night fishing that lights up when you reel your line in. I’ve tried G I Joes but no luck. Anyone know where I can find this type of fishing pole.

It is ussally tan and it has two breast pockets that hang out of the shirt (unlike conventional shirts the poackets are not on the inside)– its like a fishing/safari shirt– does anyone know what it is called?

i really really want the zebco 33 platinum reel on a shakespeare ugly stik. problem is i only have $16 and it costs $60 for the combo. I don’t know if i can make that much money in a small amount of time. i really really love the 33 platinum because it has 5 bearings and it ain’t spooled with crappy line so i can spool it with some line that i like. i love the ugly stik too because it is very durable. i have one of the authentic 33’s and it’s practically new, and i was thinking about just getting a ugly stik rod for it.
So should i save up money for god knows how long to get my favorite combo (33 pl and ugly stik) or just use the authentic 33 i have, and save up just a few more dollars and buy an ugly stik for it?
Also would you cal the 33 pl and ugly stik a quality combo? will it last a long time?

I’m going on a fishing trip this weekend and I’m planning on Puertecitos, even though I have no clue how the fishing actually is. I’ve been to Bahia de Los Angleles, and that was just too windy, and I’m completely bored of San Felipe. Anyone know anything about Puertecitos or can recommend another good fishing spot this time of year in Baja.
