I have the standard license plus the trout license. I’m a first-timer and am learning as much as I can before I actually go out and fish.
I have gone through thousands of fishing websites and they are relatively the same. Some don’t even feel right just to be clicking on the links. So what I did was went out and bought a 5 page website, totally blank. It’s gonna be a fishing site but I don’t want it to end up like the others, I need fresh ideas. What would you all like to see on a fishing site?
I need a website to show me how to make good fishing bait for any type of freshwater fish?
I would like to get into fishing with downriggers on Lake Michigan, but have never used downriggers. Can anyone give me a website to look at, or directions on how to hook them to the fishing line? Also, what sorts of lures would be good choices? Serious answers please.
I’m a beginner when it comes to fishing and I’m wondering if there is some sort of fishing encyclopedia out there. A book or website that would tell anglers things like, “Watch out for the teeth on a spanish mackerel when removing your hook” or what to do if you happen to catch a shark.
I just work from the exploded diagram which comes with the reel. Just make sure you get all the washers, etc. stacked in the correct order as shown on the diagram.
You can print out the proper diagram from the Penn website, and order any parts you need from them as well, if you can’t get them at your local tackle shop.http://www.pennreels.com/03_service/part…
Some hints: make sure you have quality tools (screwdrivers, wrenches) of the correct sizes, so you don’t tear up the parts, and be very careful with small parts (dog springs, etc) so they don’t jump out of the reel and across the room when you’re taking it apart.
